Between Heart and Mind

Sunday night, I saw a fight
Brain n heart thought otherwise.
Mr. B as always, had rationalized
Ms. H had choked n kept her quite
He told her it is black and white
"No way, we can take this flight"
"Give up", he said, with all his might
For he had heard from other minds
That, no one has ever got it right.

With all her warmth Ms H said this:
"For every road to wondrous bliss,
And for inventions and discoveries
For all that's new and never known
You have to do what others don't.
Take aim beyond the realities
And dream what others dare see.
So much to do in this short life,
Let's make wings, for one last flight."

I dont want your reality

I don’t want our reality
No, not if you’r right
For I am happy living
This dream tonight

I don’t want open eyes
No, not if you’r right
For as long as I sleep
This is a dreamy life

I don’t want your fears
No not if you’r right
For I don’t have time
For nightmares tonight

Leave me with my hopes
Leave me with my lies
Leave me with all I have
For I dream tonight

A Confession

Not always the path of wisdom,
Seldom choice of trivial wrongs.
How often do I think of others,
When I say and do what hurts.

Given to little cheats and lies,
And truths that are never told.
For silence I feel is never evil,
Through it I hide the untold.

For there is shelter in reason;
Rational, to bury the stale.
Logic can defy all righteous-
Never me but circumstance.

But still I feel, am not evil
Not all's lost to undergrounds
For every time I turn to wrongs
A thousand times I turn around.

For This Morning

Open your eyes to sunshine.
And feel the gentle breeze.
Yesterday is sealed in time.
But today the slate is clean.
Time to leave the old in bed,
Crumbled with the sheets.
And, brush away all worries,
With some mint tea leaves.
If at all, some pain is left,
Still nagging in your head,
When you take the shower,
Shampoo it off your hair.
This morning when you step,
Take some hope in each stride.
Open yourself to the breeze,
And warmth from the sunshine.

A hint of red

More Often Than Not

More often than not;
The why n why not's;
About there n there'of;

More often than not;
The who n who not's;
About them n their'of;

More often than not;
The when n when not's;
About to-dos n do-not's;

"More often than not"!!!
Just live the way you want.

Life In a Kaleidoscope

We live our life in kaleidoscopes
Twist n turn to everyone woes
Change manners, to their delight
Colors that could please some eyes

We remember not, our true selves
Lose touch with things we ever said
Thy'self through someones eyes
Even mirrors, dare not share our lies

I wonder, if this will ever change
Dare will I, to freeze the frames
Tell them, this is who I am
No broken glass, but a self-made man.

A rainy day

A cuppa coffee, on a rainy day
Sips of bliss, by the tap of rain
If only you were here besides
Oh lord! would be a perfect sight...

Of bliss, some bliss, on this rainy day
With you to sing to, with the taps of rain.

As sun goes down to this rainy day
My lord, this world be drenched in rain
Drenched in love n drench in hope
For someone, somewhere is waiting too..

For Bliss, some bliss, on a rainy day
The bliss my lord be here to stay.

The Living Light

I know there’s light inside me
For it flickers once a while
Some moments of darkness
Some days just glow bright

I am happy when it blossoms
And restless when it fades
It sparkles thorough my eyes
While she looks at my face

I use it as a weapon, a ray,
A glare, to fight the gloom
In few strokes of happiness
The dark lords see their doom.

I know there’s light inside me
And it’s waiting for you all while
For it’s brightest in your presence
My love, you are my living light.

Sail with Me in the Sea of Life

The sail is set and the tide is high
This wooden boat, to a paradise
The roaring storms n gusty nights
Or, a peaceful sea with starry skies
Come, sail with me in the sea of life

Though it will tremble once awhile
When monstrous waves jump the tides
I’ll hold you close and you hold me tight
And sleep we will, till sun shall rise
Come, sail with me in the sea of life

No treasure to win, for this complex ride
No help to seek when trouble strikes
But the joy of being on a lovely voyage
Just you and me and no other eyes
Come, sail with me in the sea of life

His Mother's Son

Little boy Shamu, had a dirty little friend.
A leg less doll from the dingy mud swell.
It was his for the find, in the garbage dumb,
Covered with filth n grime n sewerage mud.

He cleaned it till he could see its eyes,
Weaved her a dress from red polyvinyl.
He named it Radha, for the mother unknown.
A name he thought was of her from lore.

Each night they slept together in the park,
And cuddle in fear with every dogs bark.
In moment like these, a healing touch,
And courage, she lent him and will to last.

In Shamu’s world there were some rules,
No love, no faith, no happiness worth.
His fate was a bundle of pain and hurt,
His fortune was crafted by an evil at work.

It rained that day, a cry from the Gods.
When two slum rowdies saw the red doll.
They snatched it free from his fist, that night,
And tossed it around for Shamu’s plight.

He did what he could to save his pride.
Blow after blow with courage he did fight.
They beat him blue and got bored to soon.
Threw Radha in the gutter with loathsome woe.

No living love to live for, but Radha’s smile.
He jumped for the call of his mother’s life
The current, too strong on that rainy night
Laid them to sleep, away from pain, that’s right!

Fight with destiny

Shielded by a veil of pretense,
Fighting with a sword of hope,
I fight the lord of destiny.

Gnawing with strength of will
Swinging from might of soul
With arrogance, I take each blow.

I ain’t afraid to fight with ‘chance’
Nor credit luck, for what it plans.
To this day, I draw the line on my palm.

Won I have, against sickness n death
But this war, goes on, with every breath.
Fight I will, like a worthy foe...

Oh! Destiny, I am destined to win. Not you.

All about you

The color of your eyes
The dimple on your cheeks
What make u smile,
When the whole world weeps

About the thing you see
When you are up all night
Of the stars that glitter
And moon light's white

The things you think
And thought you weave
What make your day
With the morning breeze

TIhe big and small
And long and wide
I want to measure the
The length of your life

And each kind deed
And wrongs of wrongs
I want to know and hear
your heart's each song

A King's Tale

His darkest hour, his darkest night
In wilderness, a painful delight.
It not this thing that’s broken, no mends
It’s not what they will heal, n forget.

They got no weapons to pierce his heart.
No blade to slice his soul, to parts.
Breathe again, he will. Like Phoenix.
From ashes to play his part.

For they don’t know how to kill a King
No daggers, no swords but this little thing
Die, they will for the ones they love
And give up more to earn as much.

For that’s all that counts, when he dies
A million tears of hope, of another life.
In strength he rules and happiness dwell
He lives a king even in death.

The Trek of Life

It’s always the same with a trekking task
It seems so easy when the journey starts
The terrain is pretty and the pace is fast
You jump on pebbles and kick the earth.

As one moves on, on the withered path
The track seems too grow long and sharp
Each step weighs in, each step weighs out
Your throat is dry and lips are parched

Then at the foot hill, only a distance left
The legs give in and you drop dead
Each muscle aches and the head is numb
The breath is heavy and the spirit is down

Then from the distance you hear a shout
Some cheer you up, some mock your loss
And you wonder why you never tried
Never worked your muscles right

It’s in this moment, like so often in life
We give up hope, loose out and curl inside
When all it takes is some fifty strides
We give up to fate and chance and whine

Some have the courage to take the plunge
They ride on will for the final lug
Deep in their heart is the strength and love
To reach the top and look down at the world

Anatomy Of A Lie

In every heart like ocean
Deep within its depths
Hidden n buried in darkness
Lies the rough hard rocky bed

In its sleeves and cracks
Born are bubbles of lies
Fostered by the lava within
With envy, deceit n pride

In the hope that all is unseen
From mortals and the Gods
The rock ignores the virtue
The truth till all is lost.

One fine day the bubble
Floats up to tell the tale
On its way to the world
It swells, uncontrolled – astray

As it reaches the surface
Its bursts in shock and fright
The ripples in the water
Spread the pain out wide.

Its not that one can hold a lie
And die with it to earth
It will bubble up someday
And make its presence worth

I will hear you

From a distance
And ages apart
When breath doesn’t hold
You close to my heart
I will hear you.

If, born as due
On grass in the wild
As the morning sun
Shines to take my life
I will hear you.

If, I bloom a sunflower
In a distant land
I'll turn to your voice
Not the sunshine tale
I will hear you.

I will hear you sing
Sing of love and life
Sing about that day
Hum about this night
I will hear you.

The World

The green of spring,
The brown of earth
The blue in the sky
The colors of the world
The smell of rain
The smell of morning sun
The jasmine, the rose
The aroma of the world
The brush of air
The lemon crush
The joy of sleep
The unknown world

Its not nature, not life
It is you that makes my world

A New Destiny

A leaf I broke away from

The branch I long stood

I feel into the river

And meandered down the woods

I wondered about the moments

The days that I passed

From the little green bud

To the yellow maple heart

Of how I always wondered

Still, but wind to blow

And yearned for this moment

This lovely world to see

And how it would be

As a free bird to be.

And than I heard the river

Speaking with wisdom earned

Gathered though the ages

In a whisper barely heard

To flow is the sense of living

To Love is the breath of life

Change my dear maple

Is the motive of this life

In your hearty is freedom

Which with me you will share

With me you’ll get the freedom

From that branch you stared

©Apuarv Sethi

Your Eyes

I saw your soul

I saw your heart

And all the words

I could never part

I saw your love

I saw your past

Some bit of mischief

Oh! The things it does

I pity the mirror today

As I look into your eyes

It can not match this feeling

However hard it tries

©Apuarv Sethi

Cry

I cry because I see him hungry

I cry because I see him in rugs

I cry because I see my ignorance

For his pain his tears and his blood

Each day I see him, a block east

Eyes speaking what lips cannot scream

Does he pick them up, these coins?

That pile in front like his miseries

I cry because I see him totter

I cry because I see him sick

I cry because I see my apathy

For his laments his ordeal and his anguish

As I turned the block today

I saw a corpus laid draped in muddy swathe

His poor soul had begged his freedom

At last from some heavenly assess

I cry not today for I am happy

I cry not today though I am sad

I cry not because I see him happy

With God, in heaven and in prayer.

A wish Goodnight

Today I'll dream,
Tomorrow I'll try,
Forget this wish,
I will rather die,
Sleep now, so that

From clouds above,
Your love descends,

And hugs your heart,
He'll kiss your lips,

And say goodnight,
So today you'll dream

Tomorrow’s delight.

The Meandering Peace

I saw it as I walked,
Down the pavement laid with rocks
It was hazy but it was clear,
The meandering ways of peace.
They told me they were friends,
So close that no trot could part
They were the soul of city,
Its living grace they thought
But now it's lost they told me,
They are deeds apart
One kissed the devil,
And other in the feet of God
I saw in their discretion,
The meandering ways of peace
They told me a hundred tales,
Of wiliness and of guile
All in the count of Raymond,
Now they called The beast
The beast was the corroborate verdict,
Form their eyes i did hold
The rope around his neck,
Seemed garland in their own
I saw in their anger,
The meandering ways of peace
The roped was valiant,
While all around him moved
His face was a face of mastery,
Speaking silence of the truth
there was a loud roar,
As a handle went down
I saw in his death,
The meandering ways of peace

The Wonder Years

Of wins together
Of moments apart
Of wonder years
With which we'll part

Of laughs that flied
Of tears that flowed
Of feelings shared
With which we'll part

Of strength we owned
Of might we shared
Of victories together
With which we'll part

Of lessons learned
Of lessons taught
Of books we imbibed
With which we'll part

Of enmity kept
Of peace that won
Of victorious friendships
With which we'll part

Of cordial thoughts
of candid applause
Of contagious successes
With which we'll part

Of spirits that flanked
Of support we got
Of endless faith
With which we'll part

Of songs we sung
Of melodies we brought
Of accolade we got
With which we'll part

This moment my friend
Has but come to stay
Promise ME to stay in contact
So that WE NEVER PART

The Flowers in rain

The flowers in rain

They speak of you

Their petals pink

With Love, it’s you

They swing in grace

With the wind in arms

To the taps of rain

It touch my heart

The rain has stopped

As I watch in Awe

The Flowers, my flower

They speak of you

Silence

We sat staring into nothingness,
No thoughts no Room for air.
Our breath resounding aloud,
The silence, the lovely prayer.
Could it be true this warmth,
This touch, this scent in the air.
I dare not move, blink but stare.
This dream, an endless night.
Last it did till a ray alight
Fell on the garden rose white,
Turned yellow and I smiled
No word no whisper! I heard her.
Because when silence speaks
Words become speechless

The Promise

I have the world today,
A thought as g00d as gold
I feel a sense of freedom
A dove in flight for dawn
I am in heaven
With peace all around
A sense of calm inside me
Its love- I can hear it now
I wonder if I can hold true
True to your faith & trust
True to all you give me
This sense of prudent touch
All I promise you is joy ride
Through this bumpy life
I will never leave you lonely
In the hardest of the times
I promise to hold you
When your faith in life is trembling
I promise you some smile

Adding Images to Blogs Layout
The first thing i found irritating was the absence of a image upload facility.
So to add images, just upload them to free hosting services.
Like I use http://imageshack.us .
And then use the DIRECT LINK where ever required.

For those of you who are wondering how to edit a layout. And what do i mean above. Wait for the next tutorial

The Beginning

Move one step
For steps make a mile
It will be The beginning
For your soul and your mind

The static are like stone
Without breath and pride to hold.
The mountains look gorgeous
but they have sufferings untold.

It's only the river that sings
Giving life to all it pass
But when it stops it gets dirty
And all its zest is lost.

The people are like ripples
Fearing away from stones
They fade into nothingness
With acme under floor

You are not one of them
You have courage in your heart
What's stopping you then
Move out and play your part

In life they seek winners
And they do get the gold
In their glowing face thus lies
Peace of a contented heart
Move out then my friend
For The Beginning seeks new End
That End is another beginning
Till your life does End

Fruit Dream

Something that i cooked up a few weeks ago. this came out quite well with us eating just the dessert and not the food. give it a try if you love fruits.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup strawberries, halved or quartered
1 large unpeeled nectarine, sliced
1 cup blueberries
1 cup pineapple, squared

2 oranges, peeled and sliced
1 large mango, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp orange juice
2 tbsp lemon juice

PREPARATION:
Combine fruit in large bowl. Remove 1/4 of the salad and add 4 table spoons of sugar and microwave the mix till it turns into a thick syrup. Cool the syrup and add to the rest of the salad. Toss gently. Chill for at least 1 hours.

Serve with vanilla icecream or whipped cream.

I think what makes it special is the way the fruit syrup enhances the flavor of the fruits to do magic. Enjoy!!
